Oh! I just made it in time, to the mid-week farmer's market here in Noe Valley. So glad I did, since there was lovely produce on offer.
One merchant had three different varieties of strawberries, and had samples out for tasting. Yum, my favorite way to shop! I went for the Albion variety.
For cherries, I favored the more acidic Brooks variety. Very tasty indeed.
Happy Boy Farms was also present, and we picked up a few carrots, sugar peas, and a bundle of cilantro.
All and all, a very successful quick run to the market. It's open 'till 7pm, so if you're nearby you may still have time. If not, be sure to make it next Tuesday. It's a lot less crowded than the Saturday market.
