ToDo: Make ravioli with wonton wrappers

I've been wanting to try this for ages, but I never seem to have wonton wrappers and inspiration at the same time. But someday, I want to try making a "ravioli" with wonton wrappers. Some sort of seafood stuffing and a simple olive oil and garlic sauce might be tasty.

For my daughter's first Valentines Day school party, I was way too ambitious. Trying to be super mom, I designed an adorable card. It had lots of gorgeous pieces that had to be assembled by hand. I was sure we'd have a wonderful time making them.

Well, we did have a wonderful time, but she lost interest after the first few. I ended up making most of them myself. Lesson learned: keep it simple!

It's been some years since that first batch of valentines, and I now have two daughters. We still make handmade cards, and the kids actually do most of the making. My youngest likes to paint hers.

I went a little crazy with the paper punches, and punched out enough pieces to make kits and listed them in my etsy shop.

Tasty Find in West Portal

Recently, I was at a fun party where everyone brought a little something to nibble on. It wasn't a sit-down dinner. More of a pot-luck cocktail party. Lots of tasty treats and drinks. One of the guests brought some appetizers from xiaoloong restaurant. The dumplings were gobbled up quickly, and for good reason. They were truly tasty!

I've got to get myself to the restaurant and sample more of their menu!

Celery

Celery? Can't stand that stringy stuff. Celery root? That's another beast altogether, and seriously yummy.

At some date, I've got to write up how I use celery root. On the todo list!
